After a frantic few days and weeks and months and even years – that is us on our way. We set off from Loch Creran after saying goodbye to the Barcaldine staff, who have been very helpful and now we are in Dunstaffnage Marina.
A fairly uneventful sail/motor into a 15-20 Kn SW wind – i.e. dead beat (maybe that’s just me?) but the weather has been so poor for days now that when the sun came out in the afternoon it was a surprise to us both.
A convenient spot to welcome aboard a few visitors over the weekend before we set off for real on Monday.

Good meeting you in Dunbeg yesterday after many many years. What a lovely day to start your adventure. Am looking out over the sound of Kerrera while Anna has gone to Glasgow to earn some money.
Good luck to you both, fair winds and a safe passage.
Keep in touch,
Andy
So sorry we weren’t able to join you for your farewell shindig at the weekend. We wish you fair winds (is that the expression?) and very happy sailing. Hope to meet up before too long! Lots of love, Trina and Joe xxx
Just picked up your message as we are home from our summer cruise. We were sailing from Loch Aline to Tobermory on the 6th July, then out to Skye and the small isles – beautiful in glorious sunshine.
Best of luck on the trip, will be following you all the way.
